The Moments of Truth

The Hacker, once again the prisoner of the Meanos, convinces them to allow him time to go to the washroom of their hotel room, once they arrive to it. As he relieves himself of toxins, he gets the feeling of doom, once the Meanos have no more use for him. However, as he's about to emerge from the washroom, he gets the feeling of hope, even though May snatches his scouter.

Sonic and Amy race against time to rescue their ally. However, it is heard on Amy Rose's scouter that The Hacker is actually laughing, and is telling the Meanos they're wasting their time. The Hacker tells them that the only human being that can sense him without a scouter is on her way. May checks out her device. No reading of incoming people. She and her sister assume it is a ploy to escape. And, as May is about to put down her device, she hears a blip. The Hacker laughs. "I'm saved.... I know I am.... She has come to get me.... I know she has." He says, hopeful to escape. This obviously upset the Meanos.


"WHAT THE? HEY! YOU! WHOEVER IT IS, WHO ARE YOU?" May was enraged. She could tell it was a human. The scouter displayed an outline of the individual, and it showed the mysterious female had no scouter. "LAST CHANCE TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF! NOW!" May ordered by scouter. Nothing. Amy Meano forces all of The Hacker's clothing off his person. "Heheh. The person may be coming to rescue you, but, you're still gonna entertain the both of us - whoever she is, she's too far to rescue you right -" Amy Meano was cut off by the opening slam of the room door. She gets off The Hacker, who smiles at the rescuer.

Sonic and Amy arrive in time to see their friend smiling with joy in his eyes. His throat is dry from the nervousness. He looks at his gorgeous rescuer and says "Babe.... just in time. A few more seconds, and, ahhhh, let's just say the hot dog would have gone into the wrong hot dog bun. However, now that you're here.... I sense it will end up in the proper bun, yes?" to her. The Hacker and his real girlfriend have a good laugh at it. She tells him she had superhuman speed to aid her in arriving in time. She reveals herself to everyone as White Hawk. She smiles to everyone as she is glad that she found her boyfriend. "Amy. May. You never met me. However, it means nothing. You see, I never need a scouter to find good ol' Hacker. We have a telepathic link. It is truly marvelous." White Hawk revealed that she has psychic powers to The Meano Twins. She further explained to them that she knows the exact location of The Hacker, at all times, due to the telepathic link. She finally tells them about how she sensed distress in The Hacker's mind. Before proceeding with a certain ritual, White Hawk closes the door, and the drapes in front of the window. The Hacker gulps. He stutters, and says "Babe, what are you doing? I thought you were gonna -" He gets interrupted by White Hawk. She says "Hacker, dear, now IS the time. You cannot escape this celebratory ritual. You and I are gonna have a blast of a lifetime! WHOO!" White Hawk throws off her clothing and begins touching The Hacker.

Moments later, the entire planet of Mobius was shaking and vibrating as a result of The Hacker's scream, from feeling a certain sensation. Sonic and Amy take turns listening to what is happening. They hear that there is a lot of activity going on. Sonic gulps and says "I get a feeling we should leave 'em alone.... something tells me that something big is going on!" to his girlfriend. "Gee, ya think, Sonic?!" Amy Rose says, revealing that her fur's all messed up. Sonic nervously laughs. Amy motions for Sonic to move towards her. Sonic gulps. "Uh, we're not gonna do anything too strong, are we?" Sonic nervously says. Amy merely explains that she wants to smooch with him.

Meanwhile, everyone else on Mobius is afraid of what is happening to the planet. It is shaking, and they all sense it is from The Hacker's room. Tails tells Knuckles that he assumes nothing could pick up The Hacker's energy level without exploding. He swallows in fear. "All this talk about superhumans.... maybe this means he is a super-superhuman? Nah! Impossible! Yet, we don't know much about humans - save for the fact that they're hostile creatures!" Tails is laughed at with his theory of a "Super-superhuman". Knuckles tells his friend "Tails, a superhuman is unheard of, but apparently, it is possible to achieve. Apparently, there is no need for Chaos Emeralds to become a superhuman." He proceeds to tell him that if Tails's theory was true, the entire universe would be behaving strangely. They look around, and see nothing out of the ordinary. However, Knuckles wonders if 2 superhumans behaving the way they are would constitute as "Super-superhuman". He goes off for a swim to clear his mind. He laughs and says "Good luck, pal, on your latest theory! I gotta go for a dip! I gotta take my mind off of things!"

The day after, The Hacker, White Hawk, The Meano Twins, and Andross all travel to the location of the portal. Once again wearing his scouter, The Hacker stops everyone from going into the portal. He wishes to have a rematch with Sonic - this time wearing his scouter. Having improved, The Hacker overpowers his friendly opponent. Before departing, he promises Sonic and his friends that they will return. He leaves "The funny-looking gems" he found behind as a souvenir. Sonic gasps. "Chaos Emeralds! That explains your speed increase! I shoulda known! Well, thanks. For the souvenirs. You say you found 1 of these underwater? You're lucky! I can't swim! Wish I could!" Sonic shakes hands with his friend. Sonic's other hand was around Amy's waist. The Hacker smiles. "Good thing to see you have someone to care about! Keep on doing good things, and good fortune will follow!" He says, and takes out a pill-like device. He tosses it to the ground, to make a temporary stream of air that is directly under the portal to go to Earth.

Tears rolled from everyone's faces. The Hacker explains it is time for him to leave, and wishes Sonic and Amy a good romance. Everyone except for Sonic and Amy leaves by the air current that will take them to Earth.  After the group leaves, Sonic and Amy have to physically support each other, as they are too emotional. By the time everyone left the planet Mobius, the air current ceased. Sonic noticed that The Hacker smelled really bad, and Amy agreed with him. They shrug, and walk slowly towards the Chaos Emeralds.

Knuckles and Tails arrive to see Sonic and Amy crying. The couple explains everything. Knuckles asks Sonic if he and Amy noticed that the planet was shaking the night before. Sonic and Amy laugh, as they think it was pure imagination. Knuckles directs them to a nearby house, so they could watch the latest news broadcast. It was about the planet shaking. Sonic and Amy confess they didn't feel a single vibration from the planet, as they had their mind on something else at the time. For a moment, they pause. "Ahhhh.... ahem!" Sonic says, blushing. Amy can't help but blush, either. Knuckles and Tails wonder what the couple is hiding.

What will happen, now? Sonic and Amy have certainly all the time in the world to make big decisions. But, the question is, which will it be, first?
